Bubbles and Bees, but not Bubble Bees

So this weekend, Avery, Nathan, and I (and the two dogs) packed up for the 3 1/2 hour trek to Tyler, Texas to visit Mimi & Pop. We arrived around midnight, Avery fast asleep (the only good way to travel with Avery is while she's sleeping), and stayed up for an hour or so talking. Had a good night's rest, and the next day Beth and I did a marathon shopping day (if you run as fast as Nathan, that's about 3 1/2 hours). I love to shop, but even I had a hard time keeping up.
Then, at the house, Miss Avery was walking outside barefoot (in true country style), and I couldn't take it any longer. I don't even walk around barefooted inside the house. So I slipped on some new sparkling sneakers (her Mimi bought her) and ran back inside. She pulled the sneakers off immediately, and walking towards Mimi, stepped on a wasp. She got stung at least once - the screaming lasted 30 - 45 minutes (no exaggeration). Her poor, chubby, swollen foot was the cutest, though.
Then we visited Grandpa Ronnie & Mimi Gail. Cousin Gavin was there, and Avery hit it off with him as I have never seen her take to anyone. Before we left, she was lying on his chest as if they'd been BFF's always.
Back at Mimi & Pop's house, I caught an early night's sleep, and unfortunately, Avery had me up pretty early the next morning. I took TWO naps on Saturday (which was heavenly), and we sat around eating barbecue & cake for a multi-birthday celebration. Lane blew bubbles for the dogs (especially Charley) to attack - see video. Saturday night, we packed up and headed home; we crashed after midnight.
What a busy weekend. Today, we are straightening up, unpacking, etc. Typical Sunday for us, just preparing for next week.
KEY ON MY MIND IS MY COUSIN KELLY. SHE JUST HAD BABY DAVIS, AND IS IN THE HOSPITAL SICK. IF YOU WOULDN'T MIND, PLEASE ADD HER TO YOUR PRAYERS - THE BABY IS HEALTHY! THANKS :)
